Wii get fitt-... crap.

Who's idea was this Wii 30 day challenge? Don't say it was mine, cause if it was, I would have to feel terribly guilty about the fact that I totally quit. GAH!

It comes down to the most pathetic excuse.... my children. Not only are they underfoot constantly (not unlike Hannah's and she hasn't given up yet) but they have SO MANY TOYS! In order for me to get a work out in, I have to spend 20 minutes tidying the living room first. Now... that doesn't sound that hard, but we all know I'm all about the "no housework"...... ;)

Okay, excuses aside, I have still been trying my darndest to get out and exercise. With the super uber OH-MY-GOD-HE-WON'T-SIT-DOWN busy toddler, it's not really that hard. Also, am still watching my diet VERY closely. I have been eating a grilled chicken salad everyday for lunch, and am pleasantly surprised by the results. Though only down one pound this week, I am not only 5 pounds away from my pre-baby weight!

Things I have learned since I started this 30 day challenge....

Beer is mostly vegan.
Skinny means "low fat milk, and sugar-free syrup"
Dogs would help in my exercising.... a lot.
I am not the only one who loathes running.
Kids and Wii active don't mix. At all.
Gardening is excellent exercise! I got out with a shovel and my wheelbarrow, and started moving dirt from one garden to another, and I was sweating!!!!!!

How is everyone else doing? Have you learnt anything on this adventure so far?

I think I get to take credit for the Beer=Vegan lesson. :-) Oh yes, I adore a good microbrew, I can't help it. Yes, yes, I know, empty calories, but shoot, sometimes it's the perfect end to the day.

You're not the only one who's been challenged in ways they didn't expect. 5 days in, I got hit with a double blow of severe anemia and a severe cold. Working out was an impossibility for the better portion of a week. Now I'm doing better, and I just...can't get the motivation back. I feel like I've already failed the challenge, so why bother picking it back up?

And yes, the anemia is under control. I have a wonderful new regimen of supplements that I have to take, but they're helping a lot.

i love that you posted what you're learning. so creative. yep, scarlett schooled me on the fact that beer is vegan. but i can take credit for the "skinny" drinks at starbucks! yay!

as long as you're staying active (hello, gardening!), i wouldn't say you've failed. good for you.

i've been better than ever at documenting what i eat, which is really helpful as i'm losing weight.

your current weight is my goal weight. and you're about a foot taller than me. sad face.

I've learned that jump lunges = death. And that I need to be more careful when doing them or I'll keep injuring my ankle (my left ankle is pretty sore today).

I've also learned that if the game isn't recognizing that you're doing the exercises properly, you may have a faulty nunchuck. Especially if said nunchuck is the generic brand at Walmart.

And that calorie counting isn't as hard as I thought it would be. And that staying within my allotted calories isn't that tough either.

Erin - the first time I saw you I thought "holy crap! That girls is GORGEOUS!" and then my pettier side said "how did she get dimples like that? And those teeth? Lucky girl." And then I grew to love you.

I don't care what your scale says... you rock it.

Actually... you all do!!!!!!!!!!! This blog should be called "hot girls getting hotter."

LOL! When I just re-read that blog title, I thought "hmmm...does that sound a little porn-ish? I wonder what kind of followers we would get...."

I'm failing, too. My semester is getting crazy, but it's ok because I'm almost done and have been active just not doing a set work out. But the weather is gorgeous and I love to be outside and the dog likes to swim so that's good. My food has been failing a bit but I got on the scale and I think I somehow lost 1/2 a pound which is good. I think I'm losing inches but I'm not sure. I just hope I am. Haha.

P.S. I love you guys. Sorry I'm not around as much as I should be, but you can always e-mail me, or tweet me. I DO check both. <3
